My first real project

It took me 3 nights and 2 days to get here. In short, the whole weekend. I went crazy but with included dedication. I decided to make baby beanie, but it turns out to be a flower, because I went nuts with my newly gained skill, "Triple Crochet Stitches"....!!! But I think that flower is beautiful, too. I thought I will attach this flower to the bottom of baby blanket! Oh yeah, baby blanket was the main reason I thought of learning crochet.
So second attempt gave me small baby beanie, again it was very small. Non-functional. That reminded me that I have a Doctor Barbie Doll back home, this beanie was perfect for her.
My third attempt was planned carefully, I also used pen and paper to jot down the number of rows and rounds. I was little bit comfortable using the hook, yarn and my fingers & was able to achieve maximum harmony and synchronization of all.
I used a bowl to size up my baby beanie, so unprofessional but hey it worked...

All the stitches looked so nicely lined up from inside...

I joined all my little projects and made this composition, it sure looks cute cute.....

A flower, a small beanie, a small hat and  a big beanie....yey !

Lesson: I still can learn, gain and develop new skills....I thought, I should try learning music instrument to test out my learning capacity! But for now, I am going to continue crocheting....because i am not there yet...

Learning Curve

Well, it was ugly at the beginning...here are the few ugly duckling samples that I crocheted using pink and white yarn. It was very frustrating seeing YouTube video and I see all those ladies look very comfortable doing what they do. While I certainly had a sore-stiff fingers at the end of the day.

Sometimes, I did not have a clear aim for what to crochet, I just started crocheting with chain and then single stitches and I ended up with something that looked like a baby booties, it was cute but non-functional!
Did i stop crocheting? Naaah !!
